Getting the new year off to a worthy start, OMID SAFI PhD -- Duke University Professor and Director of the Duke Islamic Studies Center; Author, and Tour Guide (really!) -- brings us his brand of "Radical Love."  We're talking Islamic mysticism and American pragmatism; the liberationist tradition and traditions that link together love and justice.  Quoting a poem by Islamic scholar and mystic, Rumi, we're approaching life in the new year "as if you and I had never heard of a You and an I."  Says Omid: "We must plan for healing as others plan destruction."
